The Science
Engineered for GBM. Built to reach further.
Most prior glioblastoma immunotherapies were adapted from other cancers. SurVaxM was designed against GBM from the start, and the target it trains the immune system to recognize shows up across most cancers, not just this one.
The mechanism
Survivin: a target the tumor can't easily hide.
Survivin is a protein that helps cancer cells evade the immune system and resist cell death. It's overexpressed across roughly 90% of cancers — and rarely present in healthy adult tissue, which makes an unusually clean target.
A genuinely novel structure
SurVaxM's molecular design is distinct from prior GBM immunotherapies — a peptide-mimic engineered against survivin specifically, not repurposed from another cancer's playbook.
The body's own defenses
The vaccine trains the immune system to recognize survivin-expressing cells and mount a response against them.
Outpatient, well tolerated
Administered by subcutaneous injection in outpatient clinics.
Why it's misunderstood
This isn't another entry in a long list of GBM failures.
Glioblastoma has a long history of therapies that worked elsewhere and failed here. SurVaxM was engineered with GBM in mind from the outset, targeting a mechanism the tumor depends on rather than hoping a borrowed approach would translate.
One platform, built for more than GBM
Six programs, one confirmed target.
GBM is where the SurVaxM evidence is deepest today. The same survivin-targeting approach is already being tested well beyond it — and explored further still in earlier-stage research.
