Jerry Jacobs Jr.
Board Chair
As CEO for Delaware North, a family-owned, global leader in hospitality and entertainment, Mr. Jacobs oversees the company and its six operating subsidiaries, focusing on strategic growth and planning, corporate governance and financial management.
In addition to serving as board chair for MimiVax, Mr. Jacobs has dedicated his career serving in a significant number of philanthropic, civic and business organizations in his hometown of Buffalo, N.Y. and across the country — including as board chair for the University at Buffalo (UB) Council, the primary oversight and advisory body to the university’s president and senior officers.
Mr. Jacobs serves on the Board of Directors for M&T Bank Corporation, a financial holding company headquartered in Buffalo that provides banking products and services across the eastern U.S. from Maine to Virginia and Washington, D.C. He serves on the Board of Directors for the Corps Network, a national organization that enables over 20,000 diverse young people and recent veterans to strengthen communities, improve the environment, and transform their lives through service in Corps programs. He is an active member of the U.S. Travel Association’s CEO Roundtable and the Partnership for New York City.
Mr. Jacobs completed a term on the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Travel and Tourism Advisory Board in 2015 and was named to the U.S. Secretary of Interior’s “Made in America” Outdoor Recreation Advisory Committee in 2018. He holds an MBA from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania and a bachelor’s from Georgetown University. Mr. Jacobs and his wife, Alice, have two adult children, Melissa and Justin.
